Relaxing Bedtime Infusion
Be careful to only drink this tea before bed as it really works! The blend consists of Chamomile Flowers, Passionflower and Valerian Root, all known for their calming and relaxing properties, with the refreshing and delicious addition of Lemon Myrtle making it a soothing and pleasant evening drink.
Ingredients:
Chamomile Flowers
Chamomile has been used for centuries in teas as a mild, relaxing sleep aid. It is also known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, muscle relaxant, antispasmodic, anti-allergenic and sedative properties.
Passionflower
Passionflower has traditionally been used to gently relax the mind/body to prepare for a more restful night’s sleep. The soothing properties of Passionflower make it ideal as a general nerve tonic to treat nervous stress. Overuse of Passionflower could cause uterine contractions, so should not be consumed in excess by pregnant women.
Valerian Root
Valerian is the most widely recognised herbal sedative. Having an effect similar to drugs like Valium, it is not addictive. Valerian will help you to sleep but won’t cause a morning hangover or interact with alcohol. Research shows that extracts of the root not only help you fall asleep faster but also improve sleep quality.
Lemon Myrtle
Lemon Myrtle has a wonderfully relaxing effect and it is also said to improve concentration as well as promote better sleep. Some of the disorders it is said to be able to relieve include muscle cramps and spasms, rheumatism, headaches and fevers.
